Wine label design and packaging for New World wines allow for non-traditional design approaches. The set of labels above is an example of that approach.

KUMKANI means "KING" in Xhosa so we used traditional Xhosa royalty ivory armbands and anklets to depict the origin of this majestic wine. Unfortunately these particular designs did not reach the shelves of the wine retailers as the client viewed them as too advanced and opted to go the traditional route.
